i orderd dishes we have not tried before such as the gammon steak and chicken cheese samosas ,these were superb and we will be having them again, their crab and sweetcorn soup is a delight and a comfort when unwell, the skewerd satay chicken tasty, tender and delicious all the other items were fresh and satisfying all in all a wonderfull meal deliverd at home .
There was a mistake with 1 dish in our order (due to being very busy in race week) after letting them know they resolved this and sent us the correct food and dealt with it very well- couldn´t be more happy with the way they dealt with this. The food is fantastic too, best Chinese take away I´ve had so far in Cheltenham! Thank you.
Happy Garden Is one of my favorite Chinese takeaways in Cheltenham, in terms of value for money you can get any better. To my guilt I often order quite late, however the restaurant are always willing to follow out my requests. Cant fault the food for the price, especially the 3 for £11 deal, Great takeaway, good service, amazing value for money. Definitely worth a try.
The service was brilliant, havent used Happy Garden for a while. Delivery driver remembered me as a regular. I received fortune cookies/ prawn crackers. The Lemon Chicken was lovely, the beef in black been sauce was very good, let down by the rice, it was special fried rice but it was awful, it was dark brown and inedible. sad that the rice was so bad it let down the meal
We ordered vegetable and beef satay dishes which in our opinion are the nicest we've tried at any takeaway in Cheltenham! The other dishes/appetisers we have are always tasty and the local delivery times are reasonable (approx 40 mins). Would recommend if you want flavoursome, generously-sized dishes which are good value for money.
My favourite takeaway, always tastes fresh, the only thing that was a problem is that they bulk up the curry way too much with onions and the 'free' main we had was the chilli beef and it had way more onions that usual, hardly any beef which I think they do because its free as it's not usually that bad. Lovely food though so it's a shame. More meat and less onions, we pay enough for it!
It was nice but we didn't get any sweet and sour sauce Did we have to order that separately? I don't remember doing that last time. We got some small vegetable pancakes which we had thought of getting but .we're not on our final order, or were they a freebie? Also I don't remember paying 50p to use my is card last time.
Wasn´t the best takeaway to be honest. ´Fried´ rice didn´t seem to be fried, just boiled with a bit of scrambled egg added. Tiny amount of sweet and sour sauce, which tasted really vinegary. Prawn toasts were over cooked and the ´Four Seasons´ dish just tasted salty. The ribs were really nice however and the prawn crackers were good too.
